*REVIEW* CSI: Season 9 (Nine) (Blu-ray)

“CSI” season nine more than any other season marked a major change for the series. While the show could sustain losing two of its main characters (Sara and Warrick), the departure of William Petersen’s Grissom might just have been too much. Despite adding the charismatic and talented Laurence Fishburne – more on him later –, the show just didn’t have the depth it had with Petersen.

This season the writers and directors decide to once again push the envelope with both the stories (1000 ways to die can only go so far and still be interesting) and direction by trying different ways to present those stories.

This season begins the transformation/push of Clark Kent towards his ultimate destiny, of becoming the hero he was meant to be. Clark faces challenges on multiple fronts:

*REVIEW* My Bloody Valentine 3D

Remakes, or “re imagining” films can sometimes be a   good thing. I always like to point to Dawn of the Dead (2004) as one that was not only successful at the box office, but was actually a decent film that took small bits from the original and re purposed them. My Bloody Valentine 3D is not that.

Plot: Tom returns to his hometown on the tenth anniversary of the Valentine’s night massacre that claimed the lives of 22 people….
